Dunhill Crossing - Garden Homes Development

ELKHART – For Jennifer Hanyzewski and her husband their choice to move to Dunhill crossing in Baugo Township just outside Elkhart was all about location.

Located just off County Road 100, near County Road 20 and Lincolnway East, Dunhill Crossing was in the middle of where they each worked at the time.

And even now after nearly four years, it’s still convenient for them, even though her husband has since changed jobs.

“It’s still a good location,” Hanyzewski said. “It’s 18 minutes to the mall and Grape Road, but there’s not all the traffic here either.”

But it’s more than just the location now that keeps them rooted in the neighborhoods, where they want to continue to raise their growing family.

“It’s safe, and it’s very family oriented,” Hanyzewski said.

If you have children it’s a great place to raise them, she said, because there’s a wide variety of children with varying ages and the subdivision is close to Jimtown schools. She works at Jimtown North Elementary.

Joann Sergeant, a resident at Dunhill Crossing for four years, agreed that it’s a plus for them that so many young families live nearby. She said they originally moved to the subdivision because of the small school system and it was affordable for them. And that’s exactly what’s kept them there.

“It’s also nice because there are no other access points in or out,” she said. “It keeps the traffic down.”
Janie Kalliman’s family has lived in Dunhill Crossing for three years and chose the subdivision because she and her husband were looking for a wooded lot. Their home to the rear of the subdivision backs up to a wooded area.

She also likes that it’s a smaller subdivision and that it’s Jimtown, which is small.

“It’s not as large as Elkhart, and you get that small-town feel,” Kalliman said. “It’s not busy.”
